Frequency Asked Questions

Practicum positions are for students enrolled in graduate programs in a mental health field whose programs require direct clinical work. These positions require approval from the student's graduate program. These practicum positions are generally 9 to 12 months in length.

Our non-clinical internships are intended for undergraduates & recent college graduates.  The ability to earn college credit for your internship varies by college/university.  Non-clinicalInternship are a maximum of 12 weeks.

Unfortunately, the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) does not allow MFT students to complete their practicum training in private practice settings.
